How much do I love thee, Pat Benatar? Let me count the ways…
Seriously, I’d want her on my side in a post-apocalyptic backyard zombie brawl. MY SIDE? What am I talking about? She would be Red Strike Double Platinum Leader because as Strong Fierce Women Singers go, Pat is #1 (tied with Annie Lennox).
I have such a serious Lady-Crush on Benatar, but who wouldn’t with that pixie bedhead hair and belting voice? Did you know she was the FIRST female featured on MTV? Most know and love her for Love is a Battlefield and while I adore that song, in my heart, nothing can top my personal favorite, Invincible.
Confession: I’ve never seen The Legend of Billie Jean. I am not opposed to seeing it, it’s just never happened. I’ve always known the song, though, with its amazingly uplifting lyrics that dare the listener to challenge themselves and go for the glory. If you’re ever down or feeling like you can’t accomplish something, just turn on some Benatar and in no time you’ll be feeling invincible!
