EOTD: Purple Haze

On Monday I got to rock out at LACMA with the one and only Alex Franzen, proprietor of the blog Unicorns for Socialism. You should add that to your RSS feed if you haven’t already.

Go on. I’ll wait.

Welcome back.

I’ve been sobbing into my pillow every night (note: dramatization) about the closing of Aromaleigh (not to mention dropping bucks on her before she closes shop for-ev-er) and I then realized I have well over twenty-five sample sized shadows to console myself with…until the next order arrives at my door step anyway.

Products Used:
Urban Decay Potion Primer in Eden
Aromaleigh – Apocolypse Pansy (lid)
Aromaleigh – Odile (crease and outer lid/crease)
Sugarpill – Poison Plum (lash line and out)
MAC – Copper Sparkle (lightly dusted atop lids & crease)

The sad shit is that I didn’t take the two minutes to take pictures of my eyes indoors so all I have are these outdoor versions. I’m actually VERY proud of myself because I managed to blend and layer really well this time. What do you know, practice does make (nearly) perfect! Go figure.

While I am saddened by Aromaleigh closing up shop, I’m very excited and eager to try out a fairly newcomer on the mineral make up scene, Shiro Cosmetics. Ever since I saw the swatches from the Pokemon inspired collection over at Lipsticks and Lightsabers, I’ve been saving my pennies off in a corner, waiting until I have enough to order all of the precious new colors for my ever-growing collection of eye shadows. Gotta catch ‘em all, right?

Right now Anastasia is having a kick-ass contest to win the brand spankin’ new Kawaii Shadow Collection. A lovely pastel rainbow in five glorious colors. Hurry and enter by December 7th midnight (PST)
