30 Before 30

I am going to set up a challenge for myself – 30 Before 30. In lieu of trying new things before I turn 30 years old, I want to indulge my foodie spirit and try 25 cuisines/restaurants and 5 new things before I turn 30 and blog about them to share with you. I am giving myself just about two years because let’s be honest, mama doesn’t have a whole lotta money and I want to expand my horizons on where I go as well to include some travel destinations.
Here is the ever-growing list:

5 New Things

Organize an artistic fundraiser benefiting Camp del Corazon

Submit novel to an agent

Go to an estate sale

Host an elegant dinner party

Be involved with a short film

25 New Places to Eat

Geno’s Steaks vs. Pat’s King of Steaks

Library Bar (roasted marrow bone)

At the London – West Hollywood

POP Champagne & Dessert Bar

McCormick and Schmick’s

Rose flavored ice cream

Homemade lobster rolls

The Counter Burger

The Dresden Room

Canadian poutine

The Hungry Cat

Pinks Hot Dogs

Geisha House

Chip Shop, NY

  1. I love the new layout, with the milkshakes at the top! and the background is super :)

  2. Ooh! Here’s a recipe for a semifreddo style rosewater icecream. No machine required.

You could also try the Persian style – it has a more distinctive taste.

    I’ve tried both recipes. mm.

I highly recommend that if you haven’t already, you should try:
    1. Truffled scrambled eggs
    2. Really REALLY good sushi on the same day that the fish comes in.
    3. Valrhona chocolate bars, the small ones. The Jivara milk chocolate is flowery and fruity. Amazing.
